For this reason Stage6 only works with leading European and Japanese manufacturers of bearings and oil seals such as SKF. The bearings are available in 2 versions - with elastic polymer cage for racing (less friction) and with sturdy metal cage for everyday use on the road.

Both types are suitable for speed; very high and have the right clearance (C3) required for crankshaft bearings. A prerequisite for longevity of the bearings is, of course, to ensure sufficient lubrication and proper installation of the bearings and crankshaft. The advantages of the polymer-plastic version compared to metal cages are the greater elasticity; and the reduction of friction.

We prefer this type of bearing, with polyamide cage and therefore low friction, for racing engines. Attention, during assembly and use, their temperature must not exceed 120 ° C. For this reason, TN9 bearings are not really suitable for engines with catalytic converters! Please also note the installation direction: the half-open cage must be installed in the direction of the crankshaft cheeks.

Warning Install the version with polymer cage only on engines without catalytic converter! In other words: only on mopeds with open exhaust systems or with original exhaust systems without catalyst
